The THL.fi online service will be renewed in spring 2026
THL will renew its entire thl.fi online service in spring 2026. All content on the site will be updated to better meet customers’ information needs and the organisation’s strategic objectives. At the same time, the current website will be discontinued. The exact publication date will be announced later.
Clearer content and improved accessibility
The aim of the renewal is to serve people’s current information-seeking needs and ways of using online content, as well as to improve the site’s accessibility. The content structure will be developed to help different user groups find the information they need more clearly. The visual appearance of the site will also be updated.
The reform will clarify the overall structure of different types of content and provide better-organised information for social and health care professionals, the general public and decision-makers. Due to resource considerations, the site will focus on THL’s core tasks, and very general, Wikipedia-like topics – where several other reliable information providers exist – have been omitted.
The new thl.fi will also offer a more compact and clearer site structure, a phenomenon-based statistics section, and new ways of visualising data.
Link addresses will change
As part of the renewal, most existing link addresses will change. Organisations that have links to thl.fi on their own websites should check them after the new thl.fi is published and update them if necessary. The links to other THL online services will remain functional.
