THL updated its recommendations on protection against coronavirus infections
THL has updated its recommendations on protection against coronavirus infections. The changes are based on the expiry of the temporary provisions of the Communicable Diseases Act concerning the management of the COVID-19 epidemic on 30 June.
Updates have been made to the following pages:
- Transmission and protection
- After recovering from the coronavirus disease
- Coronavirus variants
- Hand washing and coughing
- Elderly persons and other risk groups – coronavirus instructions
The most important way to get protection against coronavirus infection is still the coronavirus vaccine, which protects you against a severe disease.
Coronavirus infections can be prevented by the same means as other respiratory tract infections. THL recommends staying at home while you are ill and taking care of good hand and coughing hygiene. THL also recommends following other infection control measures at your own discretion.
