Scientific Expert Network

The Future Finland Scientific Expert Network is an open low-threshold forum for members of the scientific community who are interested in the planning and utilization of the Future Finland dataset.

The network meets remotely approximately four times a year. The meetings provide updates on the latest developments in the implementation of Future Finland and offer opportunities to comment on various aspects of the data collection.

Focus groups within the scientific expert network

The aim of the more focused small groups is to strengthen the expert network’s involvement in the planning of data collection and in the use of the dataset.

The themes of the focus groups are:

  • Health and wellbeing
  • Early childhood education, school, work and leisure
  • Society, living conditions and services

Working in focus groups provides an opportunity to share expertise and to develop new initiatives related to the Future Finland data collection together with other specialists.

Focus group work is carried out on an online collaboration platform, as well as through remote or hybrid meetings, which are held 6–10 times per year.
