Multinational collaborative study of the relationships between the development of cardiovascular diseases and their risk factors.

Objectives

MORGAM harmonizes data from population cohort studies from different countries and measures biomarkers in order to study the relationships between cardiovascular disease and risk factors.

Implementation

Data from population studies and their follow-up for cardiovascular diseases and death are harmonized to THL. The University Hospital of Hamburg coordinates the analysis of stored blood samples. The data are analyzed jointly by the participating institutes.

24 research institutes and universities (including THL) from 11 European countries and Australia..
