THL’s coronavirus map and open data API will only update on weekdays from October
From 1 October, the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare’s (THL) coronavirus map, open data API for confirmed coronavirus cases and data cubes will only be updated on weekdays. As such, the data will no longer be updated this coming weekend, 2-3 October.
Weekend technical support for the coronavirus map ended in June. From now on, data for Saturday and Sunday will be published on Mondays. The date on which the coronavirus map was last updated is shown at the top of the box on the left-hand side of the map. The date on which the data cube was last updated is shown at the bottom of the statistics table.
The coronavirus map contains data on coronavirus cases, tested samples, the number of patients in hospital, and deaths by age group, among other things. The map’s data can also be downloaded for your own applications via the open data API. Data from public data cubes can be viewed in a tabular format.

Vaccination data will still be updated every day - but data will not be updated this coming weekend due to data cube maintenance
Reporting on the progress of coronavirus vaccinations will continue to be updated on weekends as well as weekdays. Vaccination coverage is a currently a key indicator in monitoring the epidemic.
However, this coming weekend, 2-3 October, vaccination data will not be updated as THL’s data cubes will be down for maintenance. All THL data cubes will be down for maintenance. The cube links on the website will work during the maintenance, but the data cube data will not be updated.

The symptoms map application will be discontinued later in October
THL's map application for symptom data will be discontinued on 15 October. The symptoms map is a separate map application that operates alongside the coronavirus map and shows the number of self-reports of coronavirus symptoms per 100,000 inhabitants by hospital district and municipality.
In the future, symptom data can be viewed from a data cube and utilized using open data. Data from the data cube can be viewed by region and age group.
