Explore the new content sections
Below is a brief introduction to the sections of our new website:
What's New
In the What's New section, you will find the latest news and releases, events, newsletters, statements and hearings, as well as public notifications. Going forward, our experts' blog posts will also be published on thl.fi.
Ongoing campaigns can also be found in the What's New section.
Our view
Articles in the Our view section provide information and ways to promote your own and your loved ones' wellbeing in a way that is also environmentally sustainable. For decision-makers, we offer solutions to address major changes in society and the broader operating environment in Finland. The articles are based on knowledge produced by THL's research as well as current phenomena in the social and health care sector.
Each topic includes, in addition to articles, background information and links to related content.
Research
The Research section is dedicated to presenting our research activities. Explore our diverse programmes, research infrastructures, data resources and materials, as well as our publications.
You will also find basic information on research projects in which THL is involved.
Data and statistics
The Data and statistics section has undergone a major transformation. You can now explore our data and statistics offering through different phenomena. Under each phenomenon, you will find more detailed information based on individual statistics, registers or monitoring.
This section also includes, among other things, the statistics publication calendar and links to our reporting services.
Guidelines for professionals
One of the biggest changes is a unified set of guidelines designed to support the work of social and health care professionals. You can now find all guidelines in one place.
You can search for guidelines using free-text search or by topic. For the largest subject areas, we have created overview pages that provide direct access to the guidelines you need.
The layout of the guidelines has also been renewed: guideline pages are structured around a main page with complementary tabs. Special attention has been paid to readability, clarity and search engine visibility.
Content from the handbooks of child protection and disability services familiar from the previous website is now part of the Guidelines for professionals section.
Our services
Like the guidelines, information about the services we provide is now available in one place and organised by topic. You can search for services using free-text search or by topic.
The service pages have also been designed with simplicity and clarity in mind, making it easier to find what you need.
About us
This section provides a comprehensive overview of our activities, strategy and organisation. It also includes content aimed at job seekers.
