Trusting the future
builds resilience
Comprehensive security from THL’s perspective
Prevention of violence should be mandated by law
People who have experienced violence, as well as those who use violence, must have access to services that support recovery from violence and help to stop violent behaviour. Violence in close relationships is a widespread and serious phenomenon in Finland.
Who's afraid of child welfare?
The term "child welfare" may evoke fear. However, the purpose of child welfare is to support families. The need for child welfare can be reduced by investing in early and low-threshold support that helps families before everyday challenges pile up.
Help must be available when it is needed
Regardless of the service system model, what matters in people’s everyday lives is whether they receive help when they need it. Improving the availability and continuity of services is essential to ensure that care is effective and timely.
