Visitors to THL in a meeting The Finnish welfare system and social and healthcare services are often considered models for other countries. Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare THL as a national expert agency plays a central role in collecting, analysing and producing information concerning Finnish policies, systems and structures and the health and wellbeing of the population. For these reasons, THL is a popular destination for many international delegations and study visits.

General conditions for visits: 

  • Your work or research program belongs to the social or health sector.
  • You represent a ministry or other national-level institution, public research institute, or university.
  • Your group is not larger than 30 persons.
  • We receive official delegations whose visits have been agreed with the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland.
