More information about the calculator
Drinking water is disinfected by chlorination. The calculator gives the required dosage of sodium hypochlorite to get a specific chlorine concentration for either continuous or one-time chlorination. Continuous chlorination is used to disinfect running water and one-time chlorination to disinfect a specific volume of water. The calculator saves the five most recent calculations for both the chlorination methods, identifying the entries by time and date. If you perform a new calculation based on a previous calculation, the calculator saves the new calculation and leaves the original calculation unaltered. You can delete selected saved entries or all the saved entries. Check that the values entered are correct and correspond with the given unit. Always check the result by measuring! More detailed instructions are available at www.thl.fi. The application provider is not responsible for potential errors. The user must always check the final volume of sodium hypochlorite solution by measuring. The application was created by: Muikkumedia Oy
