Objective

The project aimed to promote professional mobility in the European health care and the attractiveness of Finland for the aim of increasing labour immigration to Finland from other EU Member States. The project aimed to improve forecasting in the field of human resources in health care; map health workforce in EU countries, its mobility; map the existing competence vs. required qualifications in selected countries and in Finland; improve the recognition of qualifications of health care professionals from various countries; explore various compensation mechanisms for the countries of origin in compliance with ethical recruitment standards; develop further the existing mechanisms of guidance for potential immigrants in the countries of origin; finally, establish a network of cooperation for recruiting health care professionals to Finland.
