The purpose of the project was to assess the education and training of nurses and midwives in Croatia and to support its harmonization with the requirements of the Directive 2005/36/EC. A key aim was to prepare the curricula and basic education materials for bridging courses targeted to nurses and midwives, who have been trained before full harmonization and who want to upgrade their skills to comply with the requirements of the Directive 2005/36/EC. The Croatian beneficiary was the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare, Directorate of Medical Affairs, Department of projects and programs, and the project stakeholders included Agency for Vocational Education and Training, Ministry of Science, Education and Sport and the University of Rijeka.
