Improving Tobacco Control in the Republic of Serbia

Strengthening of national capacity for tobacco control; develop monitoring and information systems, harmonize with EU legislation.

Objectives

The overall objective is to improve public health in Serbia reducing the prevalence of tobacco use and exposure to environmental tobacco smoke by strengthening national capacity for tobacco control.

Implementation

THL experts will work with Serbian counterparts in the development of different aspects of tobacco control measures, including harmonizing of regulations with EU legislation, improved monitoring and information systems, and fostering of multi-sector cooperation.
