IPS try-out projects
The IPS Individual Placement and Support Development Project 2020-2023 implemented a content-related and functional reform of the services rehabilitating to working life referred to in the National Mental Health Strategy.
The IPS model promotes entry, return and staying in the labor market of persons suffering from mental health disorders.
IPS projects funded in the National Mental Health Strategy:
- Development and piloting of mental health services that rehabilitate people to working life (IPS model) (2020–2023)
- IPS – Sijoita ja valmenna! The Individual Placement and Support project of the City of Helsinki (2020–2023)
- Introducing the IPS operating model into practice at HUS Psychiatry and Uusimaa TE Office (2020–2023)
- The IPS model supporting the employment of persons with mental illness in South Ostrobothnia (2021–2023)
- Implementation of the IPS operating model in the Lapland Hospital District (2021–2023)
The try-outs ended on June 30, 2023. After the try-outs, the regions aim to introduce the IPS model as part of permanent operations.
IPS development project is enlarged to six new wellbeing services counties as part of the Sustainable Growth Programme for Finland (RRP) in 2023-2024.
