PANDEM-2 is an international EU Horizon 2020 project. The project develops new solutions for preparing for and managing pandemics at the EU level.

Objectives

  • To identify, map and integrate pandemic-related information from different sources into a single pandemic management database
  • To develop methods and information management, monitoring and reporting systems for pandemic preparedness, prevention and training
  • To develop a resource modelling and management service
  • To create and produce resources, innovations and training for pandemic communications
  • To strengthen capacity and provide a strategy for cross-border pandemic response
  • To produce longer-term solutions for combating a pandemic, even after the project

Partners

The project is led by Ireland (the National University of Galway, Ireland). A total of 19 partners, including the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare, are participating in the project. Project partners include public health institutions, universities, technology companies and other organisations specialising in pandemic management.
