If you are concerned about issues related to your welfare, it is important to talk about them with your parents, school nurse, social worker or another adult in your school.

What is the School Health Promotion study?
The School Health Promotion survey collects information about the well-being, health and studies of children and young people throughout Finland.
Who responds to the School Health Promotion study?
The following groups respond to the School Health Promotion study:
- Pupils in grades 4 and 5 of basic education
- Pupils in grades 8 and 9 of basic education
- Students in years 1 and 2 year of upper secondary education
- Students in years 1 and 2 year of vocational education who study for a vocational upper secondary qualification and TUVA-students.
How do I respond to the School Health Promotion study?
You respond to the School Health Promotion study by answering a questionnaire under the supervision of a teacher during lesson time at your school or educational institution. The questionnaire is answered using an online form. Your teacher will give you the log-in details needed to complete the questionnaire. It takes around 45 minutes to answer the questions. Taking the survey is voluntary.
Can anyone find out what my answers are?
No one will know how you have personally answered the questions. The results are reported in such a way that ensures individual respondents cannot not be identified.

What are my answers used for?
Based on the responses, services for children, young people and families can be improved and the activities of schools can be developed. The responses are also used for scientific research and can be made available to other researchers.
Can my parent or guardian prevent me participating in the study?
If you are under the age of 15, your parent or guardian may inform your school that they do not wish you to take part in the study. Schools and educational institutions will notify the parents and guardians of persons under the age of 18 about the upcoming study.
