Support to Gender Equality in the Republic of Croatia (CRO GENDER)

Objectives

To enhance the coordinated implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of gender equality principles. The project will increase public awareness and trust in protection from gender-based discrimination. It shall also strengthen the institutional mechanisms for gender equality and efficiency of the judiciary in the area of gender-based discrimination. The purpose is to secure advancement in gender mainstreaming of policies and elimination of gender based discrimination at all levels.

Implementation

The  project works according to Twinning regulatins and will provide the Government Office for Gender Equality of Croatia with EU expertise.

THL is the leading Member State partner and Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Human Rights from Vienna, Austria is a cooperation partner. 

Funding

EU Twinning 

The total project budget is € 600,000 (€ 570.000,00 financed by the EU and € 30.000,00 by the Republic of Croatia).
