The project supports the modernization and development of a sustainable public health system in Ukraine.
Objectives
The overall objective is to support the modernization and development of a sustainable public health system that is able to ensure disease prevention and control standards in line with EU legislation, requirements and practices.
Project has following components/expected results:
- The newly created Public Health Center is consolidated and operates in line with scientific, technological, and epidemiological changes.
- A modern blood safety system for Ukraine has been built and made sustainable.
- Communication and project visibility are ensured.
In addition, to support the national Sars-Cov-19 response, the project provides additional technical advisory services on COVID-19 since the worldwide pandemic impacted the entire public health system in Ukraine.
Implementation
The project is implemented in Ukraine by GFA Consulting Group GmbH, Germany (lead partner) in consortium with Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL). Project provides long term (on-site team leader and a key expert) and short term technical advisory and consultancy services in the field of public health.
