One small decision to parents, thousands of answers to humanity

The Future Finland study offers families a unique opportunity to help build a better and safer future for all of us.

The study will utilize biological samples and health measurements collected during pregnancy and at birth. In addition, the well-being of families – during pregnancy and throughout the child’s development – will be explored through questionnaires and national register data.

This information will be used to study the overall well-being of families and the changing landscape of Finnish society. The research data collected will help inform wiser decisions for the benefit of future generations.

The study is now underway in Uusimaa. Expecting families will learn more about Future Finland during regular maternity care visits, including at maternity clinics and fetal screening appointments.

Participation requires consent, which you can easily give online when the study begins in your area.
