Together knowhow – towards a dialogic operating culture by utilizing digital solutions

The objective of the project is to develop multidisciplinary and multi-actor operational cultures embedded in services for children, young people and families to be more human-centred and to better engage children, young people, families and their close networks. This will be achieved by strengthening cooperation among SOTEKO professionals and by enhancing both sector-specific and shared expertise through dialogical and digital approaches.

The project aims to streamline multidisciplinary and multi-actor collaboration, strengthen dialogical interaction in cooperation settings, and support shared learning through jointly developed digital tools. The development work addresses both competence development and change in everyday practice.

As project outputs, two digital tools – Dialogiapuri and the Vuorovedoin online training programme – will be developed, and the DIDI operational model will be established.

Goals

  • To co-develop a dialogical operational model aimed at opening and addressing critical junctions in multidisciplinary and multi-actor collaboration, together with digital tools that support its implementation.
  • To produce content for Dialogiapuri and the Vuorovedoin online training programme for professionals and work communities operating across different administrative sectors, as well as for multidisciplinary networks connecting them, in order to build, implement and embed a dialogical co-development culture.
  • To create dialogical spaces through digital tools that enable the identification of barriers to the development of dialogical practices and dialogical skills, and to examine and improve these in relation to knowledge work, organisational change, digitalisation, and the development of individual and collective professional identity.

Implementation

The project is implemented through six interlinked work packages that progress in phases from initial assessment to development, piloting, productisation and nationwide rollout. All work packages are carried out using a co-development approach in collaboration with SOTEKO professionals, management, clients and key stakeholders. The starting point of the development work is the identification of sector-specific characteristics and interfaces, and the building of a shared understanding of practices that support multidisciplinary and multi-actor collaboration.

In the initial phase, the current state of collaboration, competence needs and development priorities are mapped through surveys and facilitated dialogical processes. Based on these findings, digital tools are co-developed to support dialogical interaction, participation, and multidisciplinary and multi-actor collaboration, particularly at transition points and interfaces within service processes. The development work combines research-based knowledge, practical experience and real-life experimentation, and solutions are tested in authentic operational environments together with regional developer groups.

In the final phase of the project, the DIDI operational model and its associated digital tools are finalised, productised and implemented nationwide. At the same time, service quality and impact are assessed as an integral part of the model.
