The IT Services unit
- Is responsible for the planning, development and maintenance of digital services, tools and IT infrastructure, as well as the IT budget, contracts and stakeholder cooperation.
- Defines IT architecture and technologies.
- Ensures data collection, availability, integrations and quality, and refines data for use.
- Is responsible for data production infrastructure, databases, computing environments and technical implementation of the health and social services data repository.
The unit is divided into five teams.
IT Planning
Team Manager Kirsti Laurila
The team is responsible for IT architecture, UX design, solution design for information systems and AI solutions, and coordinates the development of AI activities.
IT Support and End-User Services
Team Manager Johannes Matintupa
The team manages and coordinates IT service needs, provides digital workplace tools and environments, and offers support and guidance to internal and external users.
Software Development
Team Manager Carita Närvänen
The team is responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of core applications and information systems following the DevOps model.
Platform Services
Team Manager Simo Mäkelä
The team provides shared system functionalities and services such as container orchestration, integrations, IT monitoring, and centralised logging. It is responsible for the development and maintenance of IT infrastructure.
Data Production
Team Manager Anna-Maria Lahesmaa-Korpinen
The team manages data collection processes and methods, provides access to data, implements data transfers and integrations, monitors data timeliness and quality, and develops data for further use.
