Amendments to the Act on Conciliation entered into force on 1 January 2016 and 1 January 2025.

As of 1 January 2027, mediation services will be transferred to the administrative branch of the Ministry of Justice and placed under the responsibility of the National Legal Services Agency (OPV), at which point the next amendment to the Act on Conciliation in Criminal and Certain Civil Cases will also enter into force.
