Project's overall aim is to gain a deeper understanding of the factors and mechanism related to well-being of adults living alone in Finland.

Objectives

Project's main objective is to study the associations between living alone and aspects of well-being such as positive mental health, quality of life and social support.

Implementation

A multi-method approach is emphasized through data, methodology and research triangulation in order to answer the research questions. The research project combines quantitative data from existing datasets with new data from empirically conducted questionnaire survey and qualitative focus group interviews.
