Workshop on projections
Decision makers need accurate projections of population health and welfare in order to assess the future need for health care. It is necessary to utilize the most accurate and reliable register and survey data sources, which cover the population. Advanced statistical methods are needed to combine different sources of information and to incorporate various sources of uncertainty inherent in all projections. A workshop to discuss different projection methods and how they can and have been used was organized on 17th September 2018 in Helsinki, Finland.
