Project support
The SOILA Coordination Project supports the implementation of the Safety Nets for Young People’s Future programme throughout the entire programme period from 2023 to 2029. It strengthens expertise in social innovations within child protection by providing training, development environments, and co‑creation processes in accordance with the spiral model of social innovation: needs, ideas, experiments, consolidation, and scaling toward systemic change.
Support throughout the entire project lifecycle
In the project ideation phase, SOILA supports identifying child protection reform needs, brainstorming, and project planning. Available support includes guidance materials, information sessions on funding calls, project planning training, and project‑specific coaching.
During the implementation phase, SOILA supports the execution of pilot experiments, the consolidation of solutions, and the scaling of practices toward systemic change in child protection.
In the Years 2024–2026 within the SOILA Coordination Project
- We work with regional projects to form a coherent development entity that, by the end of the programme period, will have improved Finnish child protection to be more socially and economically sustainable.
- We increase solutions in child protection by supporting the implementation, monitoring, evaluation, modelling, and embedding of social innovations developed in regional projects.
- We provide a national co‑creation learning network to support the emergence of social innovations and organise and facilitate events and development processes.
- We transfer successful practices created in the projects into national use to ensure continuity and support the further development of services and operating models.
- We build community impact by openly inviting all those interested in developing the field to take part.
