Organisation

The survey will be carried out in collaboration with Statistics Finland, the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL), and the Finnish Institute of Occupational Health (TTL).

THL is responsible for the definition and comparability of health- and welfare-related data content and takes part in the planning of the data collection as well as in the recruiting and training of interviewers.

Statistics Finland is responsible for the data collection, its organisation, as well as for the interviewers.

TTL takes mainly part in the definition of the data content concerning workplace integration, coping at work, and working conditions. TTL has also participated in the design of the questionnaire.

At Statistics Finland, the project is lead by Liisa Larja, Senior Statistician, and guided by a steering group.

Päivikki Koponen, Research Manager, is responsible for the project at THL. At THL, the UTH survey is parallel to the Regional Health and Well-being Study (ATH), and thus guided by the ATH steering group. The research content at THL is guided by the experts and steering group for the Migrant Health and Wellbeing Study.

The study is financed by THL, Statistics Finland, TTL, the EU Fund for the Integration of Third-country Nationals, and the Ministry of Education and Culture.
