The project promotes the exchange of data related to studies, healthcare and legislation between the Nordic and Baltic countries.

Objectives

The goal of the project is to promote data exchange between the Nordic and Baltic countries by creating a model and good practices for data exchange. The project strives to create effective and permanent solutions for cross-border data exchange and cooperation between authorities.

Implementation

The Digital and Population Data Services Agency is responsible for the project. The project is implemented in broad cooperation between the ministries and agencies of the administrative branches responsible for the work packages. 

The work packages of the project are:

  • Studying in another Nordic country or the Baltic region
  • Using healthcare services (e-prescription and patient care summaries) in another Nordic country or the Baltic region
  • A search engine for statutes covering the Nordic and Baltic countries’ legislation.

The cooperation partners working with THL are Ministry of Education and Culture, Ministry of Social Affairs and Health, Ministry of Justice, Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland, Ministry of Finance, Digital and Population Data Services Agency and Finnish National Agency for Education.
