Request for material
If you have received authorisation to use THL's data from Findata, you don't need to request material from THL.
If you have received authorisation from THL, also the data is requested from THL.
The fee for research data sampling is determined by the working hours required to retrieve and process the data. A careful description of the sampling criteria and of the data to be retrieved must be submitted for cost estimate purposes. It is possible to inquire about the estimate when submitting the request for material.

Starting from 1 April 2020, the Health and Social Data Permit Authority Findata handles the data permit applications concerning THL's registers and other confidential documents in accordance with the Act on Secondary Use of Health and Social Data.
