Principles for safer events at THL

THL promotes equality and inclusion in all its activities. Through the principles for safer events, we ensure that THL’s events are equitable and safe for all participants.

The principles apply to THL employees, partners, speakers, and participants. By registering for an event, participants commit to complying with these principles.

As a participant, you are expected to

• Respect others, their experiences, and their personal boundaries.
• Use appropriate and understandable language.
• Not tolerate harassment, discrimination, or other inappropriate behaviour.
• Adjust your behaviour if requested to do so.

As an organiser, we

• Take safety, accessibility, and inclusion into account at all stages of the event.
• Intervene in cases of harassment or inappropriate behaviour.
• Provide an opportunity to give feedback, including anonymously.
