The UTH survey is so far the most extensive Finnish population study to focus on people of foreign origin. The data collection for the survey started in early 2014 and ended in the spring of 2015.

The survey produced information about employment, work ability, functional capacity, health, and experiences of discrimination among people of foreign origin living in Finland. The survey questions were a collection of questions used in the most extensive national population studies, thus allowing comparisons of the results of this survey and the data on the overall population.
