The Safety and Protection Unit

• researches and develops child welfare and work against violence
• acts as a specialist and provides information-based guidance on issues related to child welfare and the prevention of violence
• is responsible for organising certain services under the responsibility of the state (shelters, mediation in criminal and civil cases, the Nollalinja helpline service).
