A high-quality database to support equality in Finland: National and regional integration (MoniTieto)
Duration:
Unit at THL:
Drawing on THL’s register and survey data, the project produces and disseminates information on the health, well-being, service needs and factors affecting integration of the immigrant population.
Objectives
The objectives of the project are:
- Producing research-based knowledge on the health and service needs of young and adult immigrants.
- Productisation and implementation of the knowledge to support decision-making.
- Bolstering the understanding of different authorities, decision-makers and other actors in the field of integration on the status of immigrants.
Implementation
We develop data production and publish varied monitoring data on the health and service needs of immigrants. A special target area is the service needs and services of particularly vulnerable and young people.
We formulate the data so that it is easy to understand and utilise.
We implement the research-based knowledge, especially at regional and local levels, to support the planning and development of services.
Funding
The project is funded by the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF) of the European Union.
