Environmental Health Unit
- produces and refines data on the population’s exposure to different environmental factors
- assesses and studies human health risks and benefits caused by environmental factors
- serves as a reference laboratory for certain microbiological methods related to housing health and chemical methods.
Focus areas of the unit’s activities:
- moisture damage
- indoor air
- environmental pollutants
- urban air pollution (including transport and wood burning)
- environmental noise
- health impacts of climate change
- health impacts of urban environments.
