Vaccination coverage among pregnant women
The vaccination coverage for pertussis and influenza among pregnant women is quite good. In the 2024–2025 season, pertussis vaccination coverage was 74.4 percent and influenza vaccination coverage was 64.1 percent. In the current 2025–2026 season, as of April 13, 2026, pertussis vaccination coverage is 64.4 percent and influenza vaccination coverage is 66.5 percent. The administration of pertussis vaccinations is still ongoing, so the figures may change.
Regional differences in vaccination coverage
There are observable regional differences in seasonal vaccination coverage between the wellbeing services counties. In the 2025–2026 season, the highest pertussis vaccination coverage as of April 13, 2026, is in the North Savo wellbeing services county at 72.5 percent. For influenza, the highest coverage is in the City of Helsinki at 76.3 percent. The lowest pertussis vaccination coverage is in Ostrobothnia at 54.9 percent, which also has the lowest influenza vaccination coverage at 51.1 percent.

THL monitors the coverage of pertussis and influenza vaccinations among pregnant women nationwide, as well as at the wellbeing services county and municipal levels. The data cubes are updated weekly.
Due to issues related to the recording of vaccinations and data transfer, the actual vaccination coverage may be higher than the figures reported in the vaccination register.
Update schedule
The coverage data will next be updated in spring 2027.
