General information

The online training course is an information package about promoting wellbeing and health. It provides social and healthcare professionals with up-to-date information and practical tools that can be used in client work. The purpose of the training is to strengthen competence in preventive work and provide skills to support clients in matters related to well-being. The training emphasizes that promoting well-being and health is a responsibility shared by all professionals in social and healthcare services.

Course description and learning objectives

During the training, participants will:

  • gain basic knowledge about promoting wellbeing and health (Hyte)
  • learn how to support clients in matters related to wellbeing
  • strengthen their competence in preventive work
  • understand the importance of hyte work as part of every social and healthcare professional’s role 

The training can be completed at your own pace. It is recommended to allocate at least two hours to finish the course. The training consists of an introduction and four modules. Each module includes an info video, slide presentations, and exercises.

Important information about the course

The training is online. To receive a certificate, all slides must be reviewed and all modules completed, including sources and reading materials. Once all modules are completed, participants can print the certificate.

The online course is available in Finnish and Swedish.

Target audience

The training is intended for professionals in social and healthcare services who support clients’ wellbeing and health and engage in preventive work. Experts and professionals in municipalities and organizations will also benefit from the training.

Fees

The training is free of charge. A certificate requires completion of all modules.
