THL annually collects nationwide statistical data on shelters for victims of domestic violence and their clients. Data is collected on days spent in accommodation at shelters, clients’ background information and the violence experienced by clients.
Local-level statistical data can be requested directly from shelters.

Client feedback
THL collects feedback from shelter clients on the shelters for victims of domestic violence. THL’s client feedback survey is carried out in all shelters. Responding to the survey is voluntary.
Responses to the client feedback survey are anonymous and are handled confidentially. The information received is used to develop and research shelters for victims of domestic violence.
A numerical summary of the client feedback survey is published in the TIKU reporting interface for precalculated cubes and summaries. “Summaries” refer to pre-prepared compilations of key information on the theme. “Cubes” enable more versatile examination of the data.
