Tobacco statistics

Description of statistics

The statistics contain data on taxable consumption of tobacco products, consumption of tax-free cigarettes, levels of excise duty on tobacco products as well as on retail sales value and price trends for tobacco products. 

The statistics also contain data on population's smoking habits, smoking during pregnancy, exposure to tobacco smoke, tobacco legislation and social costs of smoking. 

The statistical report is published by the end of October following the statistical reference year.
