• participates in the implementation of the national vaccination programme
• is responsible for the procurement and distribution of vaccines to wellbeing services counties
• is responsible for the procurement and distribution of vaccines to the Finnish Defence Forces
• participates in preparing for and combating epidemics and pandemics
• is responsible for the procurement of some medicinal products for state reserves
• is responsible for the procurement and storage of medicinal products to rescEU stockpiles.
