Course description
Our online courses provide information about phenomena related to violence and offer tools for preventing, identifying and addressing violence. The courses include a wide range of learning materials. Some of the courses are also available in Swedish and English.
Target audience
Our online courses are designed for healthcare and social welfare professionals. Some courses are also intended for professionals in education and child development, as well as for police officers, legal service staff and security professionals. Students in these fields will also benefit from the courses.
What you can expect from us
THL is the national expert in violence prevention. We support wellbeing services counties and the competence of healthcare and social welfare professionals in the work against violence, for example, through online courses. In addition, we have an obligation to train the staff of shelters and the Nollalinja helpline on issues related to intimate partner violence and violence against women. We provide the content for the online courses and ensure their quality. The content is based on research and national practices.
Fees
Our online courses are free of charge and open to everyone. Educational institutions can freely use the courses in their teaching via THL’s own online learning platform.
