Completing the course takes approximately 3–6 hours.
The course provides up-to-date information on services available for individuals who are radicalised or at risk of radicalisation and their families. Important information about the course
The course can be completed individually or together with colleagues, in which case the work community completes it by organising an in-person training day. Following theguidelines for in-person training enables developing your organisation’s practices for addressing and preventing extremism.
The course is available in Finnish and Swedish.
Organising an in-person training day
- The course is designed to support organising an in-person training day within a work community, organisation or multi-professional network.
- Each participant completes the self-study section before the in-person training day to prepare for the topics to be discussed. Self-study takes 2–4 hours.
- Select a facilitator from your work community to lead the training day using the provided support materials. The facilitator does not need to be an expert on the topic; their role is to manage the schedule, facilitate discussions and take care of practical arrangements.
- Training materials and instructions are available on the course platform in the module “Materials for organising an in-person training day” (“Materiaali lähipäivän toteutukseen”).
- Reserve 4–8 hours for the in-person training day. An example schedule is provided for one working day, but can be adapted as needed.
- At the end of the training day or shortly after, participants complete a knowledge test independently. Those who pass will receive a certificate of completion.
- The training day enables broader and more diverse discussions and sharing of insights. It encourages reflection on areas for development in multi-professional cooperation and practices, as well as identifying good practices within your region and organisation.
At the end of the course, you can take an exam and receive a certificate of completion.
