Participate in the survey

The data collection of the Healthy Finland Survey 2023-2024 conducted in cooperation by THL and the municipalities has ended. Thank you to everyone who participated in the survey!

How can I respond to the survey?

You can respond either online or using the paper form. We primarily ask you to fill out the survey online, but if you wish, you can also receive the survey as a paper form. In that case, contact us by e-mail tervesuomi(at)thl.fi.

You can respond to the questionnaire in four different languages: Finnish, Swedish, English or Russian.

The paper form includes instructions on responding to and mailing the questionnaire. Returning the paper form by post is free of charge.

Who can participate?

The participants for the Healthy Finland survey have been randomly selected from the data of the Digital and Population Data Services Agency. The people selected for this survey form a miniature version of the population of Finland. Only people chosen to the survey can participate. We would like to hear what you think.

The results of the Healthy Finland survey will help direct measures to where they are most needed. This is the best way to take care of the population’s health and wellbeing.

How long does it take to fill out the questionnaire and what are the questions about?

It takes around 30 minutes to fill out the questionnaire. None of the questions are difficult. They concern everyday things, such as eating, physical activity and service use. If needed, you can take breaks while filling out the survey.

The questionnaire form is resent if necessary

We are waiting for the response for a certain period of time, after which we will send you a new letter and forms. Therefore, you do not need to worry if the form or the online codes to the questionnaire go missing.

We understand that not everyone can complete the survey. If you are unable or unwilling to participate in the survey, please let us know.
