For KOTT survey participants

Students in the hallway

The Finnish Student Health and Wellbeing Survey (KOTT) will be conducted in March–April 2024.

Problems have been encountered when logging in to the survey's online service using online banking credentials. If you encounter a problem, please try logging in with the username and password found in the email invitation.

Who can participate?

A total of 12,000 randomly selected undergraduate students at universities of applied sciences and universities across Finland are invited to participate in the KOTT survey. Invitations are sent out to students aged between 18 and 34.

In 2024, invitations will also be sent to those invited to participate in the KOTT 2021 survey who are still studying and who are enrolled in spring 2024.

The survey aims to build an extensive view of the student population: each individual selected for the survey represents his or her age group and field of study. Individual respondents cannot be identified from the research findings.

It is important that all invited respondents participate in the survey. This ensures that the study results reflect the wellbeing of students as accurately as possible. Every completed survey counts as none of those invited can be replaced by another individual.

Responding is voluntary.

All respondents will be entered into a prize draw for a total of 60 S Group gift vouchers worth EUR 50.

How do I respond?

You fill out the survey online. Everyone selected for the survey will get instructions on responding, and a user ID and password for the online questionnaire in an email from THL.

How long does it take?

It takes around 20 minutes to fill out the questionnaire. If necessary, you can take a break and continue later.

What are the questions about?

None of the questions are difficult. The questions concern everyday topics such as eating, exercising, and studying.
