Location and transportation

• The Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) is located at Mannerheimintie 166, which is 5 km away from the Helsinki city center and the central railway station. Read more: Welcome to Tilkanmäki.
• The train from the airport arrives to the central railway station in 30 mins.
• Helsinki public transportation is very functioning, see the Journey planner. 
• Taxis are available, too. We recommend the taxi company Taksi Helsinki.

Accommodation

Accessibility

• Helsinki is mainly a quite accessible city but not all places are accessible. We are happy to look for solutions with you in case you have concerns. 
• The conference venue is accessible by i.e. wheelchair. There is an induction loop to boost hearing aid in the lobby, in the main conference halls and at the THL restaurant desk. Read more: Welcome to Tilkanmäki.
• The Hotel Valo is partially accessible. For instance the hotel Scandic Grand Central Helsinki has accessible rooms.
