Cultural Diversity
The activities of the Cultural Diversity team are located at the intersection of health, well-being, cultural diversity and migration. The focus of the work is foreign origin populations and their descendants, as well as those belonging to linguistic and cultural minorities.
The team
- produces research data to support decision making and development
- develops methods and services to reduce the inequality gaps of health and well-being
- influences decision-makers and professionals to increase the understanding of a culturally diverse Finland
- is responsible for the population surveys related to the theme
- mainstreams the acknowledgement of equality and cultural diversity in all THL’s activties
- coordinates THL's horizontal Expert Group on Cultural Diversity MONET
