The Welfare State Research Unit
- researches the health and social service system and social security
- researches social sustainability as a phenomenon, its construction and manifestation in society, factors affecting it and its links to economic and ecological sustainability
- researches and anticipates health and social service needs and develops the funding of the health and social service system
- develops health and social service systems, services and benefits with the aim of creating an interoperable and effective entity
- produces data to support decision-making and expertise for both the scientific community and the general population
- supports legislative drafting and assesses the impacts of legislation and participates in national and international working groups as a specialist body.
