Disability in Society
The tasks of the Disability in Society unit team are extensively related to disability. The work focuses especially on services and the service system.
The unit team's key product is the Online Handbook on Disability Services, which is used to disseminate information to, for example, support the application of legislation. Information is also shared through various events, network meetings and publications.
The unit team is involved in developing and implementing systematic data collection related to services for persons with disabilities. Various research and development projects also help to develop the service system and social equality from the perspective of disability. The unit team also participates in the development and reform of legislation. The work of the Disability in Society unit team is based on human rights and promoting equity.
