The section includes the most important statistics compiled by THL on social services for people of working age.
THL collects national statistical data on domestic violence shelter services, and customers using domestic violence shelter services, once a year by 1 March. The form summarising the collected information contains customer data over the previous year.
The statistics contain data on cases referred to mediation offices and the separate offences contained within the cases, as well as domestic violence cases and civil cases. Offences under the Penal Code and domestic violence offences are recorded according to offence category and according to the authority or private person making the referral to mediation.
The statistic contains information on the implementation of the Act on Social Credit (1133/2002), on municipalities arranging the credit, the customer municipalities, the basis for granting the credit, and the amounts of credit that is granted.
In accordance with the Social Assistance Act, the statistics include information on the implementation of the Act on Rehabilitative Work Activity (189/2001), the drafting of activation plans for rehabilitative work activity, arranging rehabilitative work activities, and the customers of rehabilitative work activity.
