THL produces various kinds of information on sexual and reproductive health. The registers, statistics and surveys create a broad-based overview of the state of sexual and reproductive health in Finland.

The registers are widely used for research purposes, and the main part of the data has been available in electronic form since 1980s. They are also used in many co-operation projects.
